Ooohh, this prompt is… interesting.
I mean, it’s true. Happiness is an emotion best happened upon, rather than sought after.
The chase ruins the experience.
But what about the days when happy might as well be the moon?
Taunting you, visible from your window, but so far away?
Well, luv, that’s when you have a choice.
You could chose to chase Happiness, spending time and money and energy to achieve a temporary state of mind. And that’s not such a bad thing, if done safely. You’re young and reckless and still a little bit stupid. Enjoy your freedom however you can.
But that’s not your only option.
You could chose to let Happiness come to you. Say “Screw it!” and put on your comfy clothes and bake cookies and cheat on your diet a little bit. THat’s not a bad thing, if done safely. You’re young and reckless and still a little bit stupid. Enjoy your freedom however you can.
Make a playlist specifically for feeling sad, feeling angry, feeling happy. Face yourself head on, and refuse to back down. Whoever told you that you need to feel happy 100% of the time was lying to you.
There’s no magic recipe to being happy. It’s simpler than all that.
