Your mindset affects everything from dreams to relationships to health. If you believe you are at the end of your path, then you will never push yourself to go any further. And I know that sometimes life feels hopeless and confusing and like it will never get better, but believe me you won’t always be stuck where you are. Sometimes it’s not until you have been broken, that you will know your true strength.

Last year I was really sick with a serious condition, and nobody in the hospital could tell me what had happened or even give me a proper diagnosis. I was out of school for a couple of months. And like anybody would be in this type of situation, I was stressed and discouraged. It was one of the worst times of my life. But I didn’t allow myself to accept that I would be sick forever, or that I wouldn’t make it. I always thought of this hindrance as temporary–I wanted to be better and I did my best to stay positive.

That being said, there were definitely some rough emotional moments but the point is I believed I would get better. And I honestly think its part of why I did improve.

Negative thinking and stress do have an impact on your physical body. And it’s really important to start becoming self-aware of when you are speaking ill of yourself, and then actively working to improve your thoughts and words. You deserve respect and to be loved. From others, and from yourself.

Today, I want you guys to win the battle with yourself. Choose to dream big and choose to love.
